ON OUR WAY!

No drama - no undue excitement (except I couldn't figure out where I put the passports after we arrived at SFO; that was kindof a heart attack - but there they were, right where I put 'em after tearing a few things apart).  George stayed up all night before we left so he was damned tired before we left SFO; the rest of us got a few hours of sleep.

USScare wasn't too bad... we're at Philly... getting a bite and a drink... there are people in our gate waiting area speaking Greek...

The flight to Athens was great, except neither George nor I got much sleep in spite of the Adavan.... arrived on time, and was pretty blown away at how similar the landscape resembled Southern California outside Palm Springs.  First blush:  Athens is vibrant, dynamic, and a city that clearly experienced a huge amount of growth and development in the 60's.
